The Asian Packaging Federation (APF) is a non-profit international non-governmental organization that, in a coordinated effort with countries throughout Asia, develops and improves packaging technology, promotes export, and trains personnel. Founded in Tokyo by the Japan Packaging Institute in 1967 and turning 50 last year, APF is once again taking a new step from Tokyo. This time, in addition to holding a ceremony to commemorate its 50th anniversary and hosting the Asia Star Award Ceremony, APF is holding a seminar to showcase the future of packaging.

AsiaStar is an annual packaging competition aimed at introducing excellent packaging concepts from Asian countries to the world.
