CONTAINER DRI II

As goods move through intermodal systems, they are susceptible to damage from excessive moisture. Container Dri II adds a level of protection by reducing dew point to avoid the accumulation of condensation. Container Dri II absorbs up to three times its
weight in moisture, and through an advanced formula, traps it asa thick, no-spill gel.
Container Dri II has the ability to protect shipments from start to finish, through all temperature ranges and relative humidity variances, and continues to reduce the relative humidity down to
levels below 40 percent RH, which decreases the dew point temperature even further.

HUMIDITY INDICATING CARDS

Many products such as sensitive semiconductors, electronics, optics, radar and various defense systems are highly sensitive to moisture. In order to constantly verify that dry packaging methods are not compromised during storage and transport of these products, humidity indicator cards allow users along the supply chain to monitor the package conditions.
Some companies desire the use of indicators that are free of Cobalt-Dichloride. The Cobalt-Dichloride Free HI Cards from Clariant provide verifiable color-change accuracy as required by JEDEC standard J-STD-033, as well as exceed applicable regulations administered by the ECB.

Humidity indicator and Desiccator plugs

Humidity indicator plugs work much like humidity indicator cards but can be screwed into the outside walls of sealed containers. Made of aluminum, brass or steel, they feature large, clear viewing windows for easy reading of humidity levels within the container. In the case of desiccator plugs, a desiccant tube extends from the indicator into the container to keep products dry.

Sensitive goods are often housed in containers that either should not or can not be opened until use. By installing humidity indicator or desiccator plugs into the walls of these containers, users can ensure that goods are housed at safe humidity levels without exposing them to external elements while humidity levels are checked.
